Born in LA where the sun-kissed streets hum with the rhythm of endless possibility, Ángel J. Hernández was raised in the City of Compton, which later influenced his work of visual story telling. “I first tapped into story telling with photography, During my time in middle school, I delved into the personal lives of my homies, aiming to capture the subtle intricacies of our surreal life experiences. Now more than ever can I see the value and importance telling our stories for ourselves.” Ángel is currently building a developing house in his home town, ran inside of Color Compton to building community and accessibility for all community of south LA.
