Chiomma Hall

Artist / Illustrator

Chiomma Hall (She/They) is a multidisciplinary artist and children’s book illustrator based in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating with a B.A. in Art History from Auburn University, she moved to Atlanta to continue her education and fulfill her creative dreams. Since 2018, she’s created work that references her lived experiences as a nonbinary Black queer femme in the South. Select clients include Adobe, the Atlanta Braves, the CDC, Northwest African American Museum, and more. She creates intimate narrative scenes that explore identity and connection via her practice of play, grace, and gentleness. Her current works heavily incorporate gouache, mixed media, textiles, and riso printing to carefully honor the spaces they love and the ones yet to be. Their mission is to create works that bring chosen families and communities together for collective healing. They can be found constantly pivoting, baking sweets, and drinking tea with loved ones.
