Conner Wilson was born in Torrance, California in the year 2000, to a first-generation Lebanese-Italian New Yorker and a native Angeleno former preacher. He grew up Catholic, which stuck. A few years after that, he moved to the Ozarks of Southwest Missouri, where’s it’s green and far out from everything. In 2010, he watched Doctor Who for the first time and learned that there was such a thing as a “television writer.” In 2019, he started college at Loyola Marymount University, where he began to seriously study theology — particularly the mystical, the boundary-blurring, the liberating, and the conspiratorial — and seriously writing poetry — particularly the kind that thrives in liminal states just beyond the edge of what we really mean. This last summer, he spent time living at the Catholic Worker House in Boyle Heights, working at the Hippy Kitchen on Skid Row and attending protest vigils. He’s not afraid to go weird. He’s happy spending time with the big questions, and is okay if not everything has an obvious answer. He enjoys working in a writers’ room, trying to make somebody else’s vision come to life, about as much as he enjoys making his own.
