Day 31: Salam Al-Marayati

Los Angeles, CA, United States

We have a human spirit that needs to be liberated, a spirit breathed into everyone from God Almighty, giving us the first form of equality, celebrating our power on earth, demanding our stewardship of God’s creation, and confronting us with the choice of building or destroying, of believing or denying the truth. God invites us into the house of peace, and it requires us to struggle for peace, for man fans the flame of war while God extinguishes that flame. The will of God is inseparable from the will of the people. To follow God, we must find that human spirit that calls us to respond to what gives life. All these points are found in the Quran.
