Investigative Journalist
Gabriel Ogunjobi is an independent investigative journalist from Nigeria with cross-border experience, reporting on economy and insecurity in West Africa. Some of his neck-deep investigations have been published in both local and international newspapers including Foundation for Investigative Journalism, The Continent, New Lines Magazine and Mongabay, among others. His awardwinning investigation in 2020 took him undercover to Benin Republic from Nigeria where he exposed a network of smugglers between the two neighboring countries. He’s also done major reporting from Nigeria’s insecurity hotbeds, the most recent being in a local community where incursionists from Cameroon killed and kidnapped a score of Nigerian citizens and Cameroonian refugees.
