Haiwen Yu (they/him) is an emerging anti-disciplinary artist living in Miami, FL with a background in anthropology and ecology. They experiment with, but are not limited to, performance art, mixed-media and wearable sculpture, sound, and installation. They are particularly interested in examining questions of intergenerational trauma, grief/loss, discipline and play, oral history and cultural preservation, queer and transgender identity, human ecology, and decolonialism in their practice.
