ivoh expands its team with a new Web Editor

Images & Voices of Hope is happy to announce that Gloria Muñoz has joined our team as ivoh’s new Web Editor.

Muñoz will be responsible for writing, editing, and publishing stories for ivoh.org, creating ivoh’s weekly email newsletter, and handling ivoh’s social media accounts. She’ll also work closely with ivoh.org’s team of freelancers, Executive Director Mallary Tenore, and Events & Community Engagement Manager Vanessa Rhinesmith.

Gloria MuñozThe newly formed Web Editor role is a reflection of ivoh’s continued growth and dedication to our website, where we publish best practices and examples of how media can be a force for good.

Muñoz comes to ivoh from the University of South Florida, where she was an advisor and adjunct instructor. She has served as a writer and editor for numerous publications and has taught writing at universities and NGOs in the U.S. and in India.

Muñoz’s writing has been honored by the Estelle J. Zbar Poetry Prize, the Bettye Newman Poetry Award, the New York Summer Writer’s Institute Fellowship, the Doris Duke Foundation, and the Think Small to Think Big Artist Grant.

Muñoz — who earned a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and an MFA from the University of South Florida — is a co-founder of Pitch Her Productions, a nonprofit production company dedicated to the advancement of women in the film industry.
