My name is JANESSA. I’m an R&B singer and songwriter based here in LA, and for me, music has always been about finding a way to connect honestly with people. I write all of my own lyrics, and I really try to put my genuine experiences and feelings into my songs so that whoever is listening feels a little less alone.
Last year, in November 2025, I hit a huge personal milestone by releasing my first project, Still Bloom an R&B album that really introduces who I am as an artist. Since then, I’ve been blessed to share those songs live on stage. Performing is such a special experience for me because I get to share that raw, emotional energy directly with an audience in real-time.
Right now, my main focus is on the storytelling and the vocal side of my craft. I am still very much a beginner when it comes to the technical and production side of things, but I’m learning as I go and leaning into that challenge. I’m incredibly grateful to be a part of The Peace Studio’s Artist as Catalyst program, and my goal is to just keep growing, staying vulnerable in my songwriting, and using my voice to build community and connections!
