Visual Artist, Sculptor
Jessica Perez (she/they) is a Cuban immigrant who spent her formative years in the subtropical whirlpool of Miami, Florida. Her history as a young child forced to assimilate deeply influenced her neural pathways, encouraging curiosity, resiliency and passion. As a first generation college student, they proudly received their Bachelors in Fine Arts from Kansas City Art Institute with a Minor in Social Practice and are currently working as a professional and teaching artist. She has exhibited work at the Kansas City Artist Coalition, the H&R Block Artspace, the William Volker Studio, and the Vulpes Bastille Gallery.
