Artist

Jethro Alonso is a 24 year old Chilean-American transmasculine actor and multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Miami, Florida. A passion for compelling characters and storytelling led them to pursue an Associates Degree in Drama at the Miami Dade College under the instruction of Joshua Braun, achieving recognition for a duet scene at the Finalist Round of the 2020 KCACTF held in Spartanburg, NC. He also starred in Pablo Velho’s short film “Lucas”, winning Best Actor at the Short Film Cinemaslam Competition hosted by the Miami Film Festival in 2024. Jethro desires to become a beacon for other gender nonconforming and transmasc individuals who often find representation lacking in the theater and film industries. Besides continuing to pursue acting, he carries a lifelong love for illustration and animation. They still frequent sketchbooks and notepads to draw or write out both mundane observations and spiritual revelations, allowing these to be the guide towards creating his own poetry, scripts, and characters. He recently expanded his pursuits to once again include cosplay, returning to anime and gaming conventions after 6 years. Jethro is excited to delve headfirst into costume design, makeup artistry, and choreography, crediting the drag and queer burlesque scenes as a major source of inspiration.
