Artist
Kedna Ashly is a South Florida self-taught digital artist who creates art sharing experiences, lessons, unique expressions, and outlooks on life. To her, art is not just defined by one dictionary meaning. Art is thoughts; minds serve as expressions of art, and life is also an expression of art. She utilizes all that to create concepts and meaningful art pieces that speak to humans’ souls. She enjoys story-telling and believes her art tells the story of the universe in sequence. Her artwork employs a mediumistic technique while taking a critical stance toward spirituality, frequently making references to the galaxy, worship of deities, and out-of-body experiences. The various connections between the known and the unknown are explored in her work. Allowing her spiritualism to influence her art is intended to have an impact on artistic consciousness. Her goal is to become a full-time artist and continue to create a path for non-traditional Black artists.
