Maksim is an artist, organizer, and climate communicator known for his interdisciplinary approaches to advocacy work.

Maksim founded and leads the Climate Cafe LA initiative, an organizing hub for resilience + connection, and is recognized as an innovative leader at the intersection of climate change and mental health. After helping Clover Hogan launch the Force of Nature globally in 2020, he went on to create intersectional environmental education for Isaias Hernandez and his media platform, Queer Brown Vegan. His work has been featured in Washington Post, CalMatters, LAist, and the 2023 UN Science Summit, and he has supported several renowned leaders in the climate movement with their social impact and communications strategies.

DoSomething’s “Generation Future” award winner, he was formerly a Gen Z advisor for the Climate Mental Health Network, a member of Hinge’s “1 More Hour” Youth Advisory Council and currently serves on The Resilience Project’s International Youth Advisory Board.

His artist project, Maksim Snow, is his medium to creatively relay his experiences of loving, living, and trying to help in a world where crises rage on in the background.
