The Peace Studio Expands Its Community By Adding New Members to the Board of Directors and Young Professionals Leadership Council

Including Tricia Sulpizio Estrada, Susan Fontana, Carissa Reiniger, Sherisse Szymczak, Andrew Hannibal, Li Jun Xian, & Toby Penk

(February 8, 2023 – New York, New York) – The Peace Studio, a national nonprofit working to develop artists and journalists who seek to inspire hope and catalyze transformative social change is pleased to announce the addition of four new members to the Board of Directors and the expansion of the organization’s Young Professionals Leadership Council (YPLC) – a dynamic group of changemakers across a wide variety of business and nonprofit sectors. These volunteers introduce new energy and expertise into the organization, with individuals specializing in finance, community engagement, development, media, and more.

The new members of the Board of Directors include Tricia Sulpizio Estrada (Founder of Brighter Futures for Beautiful Minds), Susan Fontana (Speaker, Trainer, and Teacher), Carissa Reiniger (CEO of Silver Lining, Ltd.) and Sherisse Szymczak (Talent Performance Coach / Social Media Consultant), with new YPLC members including Andrew Hannibal (Senior Counsel, Sesame Workshop), Li Jun Xian (Partner, Emigrant Bank Fine Art Finance), and Toby Penk (VP of Strategy at Redesign Science).

The Board of Directors serves as the governing body for The Peace Studio. Board Members help to develop and oversee the long-term strategy for the organization, while also ensuring proper fiduciary oversight and supporting fundraising efforts.

Serving as a training ground for future board leaders, the Young Professionals Leadership Council offers each cohort member the opportunity to connect with Peace Studio’s mission, build relationships with each other, and leverage their expertise on key projects that propel the organization to new heights. Each member serves on a one-year term, which is renewable for one additional year.

“We feel so fortunate to be continuously growing our community of volunteers with the most extraordinary of individuals,” said Executive Director, Thomas West. “I have no doubt that Tricia, Susan, Carissa, Sherisse, Andrew, Li Jun, and Toby will each be instrumental to our achieved impact over the next few years.”

Board and Council membership is by invitation only. If you are interested in joining one of The Peace Studio’s volunteer bodies or have someone you wish to nominate, please contact Thomas West, at
