The Peace Studio Summit 2021
Every 2-3 years, The Peace Studio holds a Summit, a kind of TED meets Woodstock event, where thousands of people come from all walks of life for conversation, inspiration, and performances. Our Summit is always held around the UN International Day of Peace, September 21, and includes a grand finale performance on the day itself. Past guests have included His Holiness the Dalai Lama, actors Common and Ted Danson, actresses Viola Davis and Sandra Oh, journalists Michael Koenigs and Jonathan Capehart, musicians Midori, Rhiannon Giddens, and Joyce DiDonato, dancer Lil Buck, representatives from the United Nations, and much more.
In commemoration of the UN International Day of Peace, September 21, and the midpoint of our 2020 Social Impact campaign, 100 Offerings of Peace, The Peace Studio hosted its first ever, virtual Peace Studio Summit from September 21 to September 26, 2020. This exciting week of programming highlighted extraordinary peacebuilders in action and featured its biggest day on the International Day of Peace itself with six virtual programs in total from dawn until dusk.
