Filmmaker
Yana Billé-Chung is a multilingual filmmaker, who was born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, grew up in France, and is now based in Los Angeles. She is currently directing her first feature documentary, Father, which uncovers the secret lives of children of Catholic priests. Yana got her start in television as an assistant to Oscar-nominated showrunner Michael Green on the critically acclaimed Starz series American Gods, followed by a staff-writing position on the upcoming series Blue Eye Samurai for Netflix. She has also written, directed, and produced films that have screened at domestic and international film festivals such as the Los Angeles Short Film Festival, SXSW, and Venice Circuito Off. Yana graduated from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts and is a 2018 associate of the Investigative Reporting Project at U.C. Berkeley’s School of Journalism.
