Michael Skoler works with NYT columnist David Brooks on the Aspen Institute’s Weave: The Social Fabric Project in Washington, DC. Weave supports a grassroots movement that is repairing America’s frayed social fabric by bringing communities together to serve each other. Skoler was an NPR correspondent and McKinsey & Co. consultant, oversaw Public Radio International’s digital expansion, created the first major crowdsourcing platform for US newsrooms – the Public Insight Network, pioneered news games like Budget Hero, and helped create the State Integrity Index measuring the risk of state government corruption. He’s a parent, meditator, backpacker and serial collaborator.
