Sheldon is a partner in McKinsey’s Southern California office where he is a member of the office leadership team. He serves consumer products and services companies on marketing and sales topics, and co-leads the firm’s revenue growth management work globally. Sheldon’s clients cut across a range of categories, including food & beverage, home care, personal care, footwear & apparel, and consumer durables.
Sheldon works with the leaders in the consumer industry, helping them achieve sustainable profitable growth by combining advanced analytics, consumer insights, and an integrated perspective on creating category value. He has led global transformations for some of the world’s top companies, working in Brazil, Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, the United States, and Western Europe.
Drawing on more than a decade of client service experience, Sheldon is actively involved in knowledge creation, publication, and executive roundtables for leaders in the consumer industry. He is a frequent speaker on the topic of revenue management and convenes the firm’s roundtables on the topic.
Outside of his primary client service, Sheldon has been actively involved in non-profit and pro bono efforts as well as in matters of diversity, equity and inclusion where he co-led the DE&I initiative for McKinsey’s west coast locations. He recently co-authored the report, Black Representation in Film & TV. He co-founded and serves as chairman of the Janet & Rupert Banton Foundation, a Jamaica-based non-profit that funds scholarship opportunities for students and supports health & wellness initiatives in the local community where he is from.
Sheldon holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Howard University, an MS in Transportation from MIT, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
