Artist As Catalyst, LA Producer
Tiffany Ike is a multidisciplinary artist, cultural producer, and scholar from Houston, TX. She has utilized different mediums including film, poetry, and performance art to discuss faith, history, and liberation in all of its forms. She has performed poetry on stages like TEDx Houston, has had her visual work presented in spaces such as the African American Museum, and has showcased films on screens across the country, including the Essence Festival. She is a University of Wisconsin–Madison First Wave hip hop scholar and she received her MFA in Writing & Producing for Television from Loyola Marymount University.
Tiffany brings years of experience in community programming, facilitation, film production, and is passionate about youth mentorship. She has worked at companies and organizations such as Proximity Media, Get Lit, and Made in Her Image to support their development, programming, and operational needs, while freelancing as an independent producer and assistant director. She has developed and executed festivals, poetry slams, film labs, art-based curriculums, and believes every gathering is sun to the soul. She currently is the Artist-in-Residence at the Texas After Violence Project, serves as a screenwriting lecturer at her alma mater, and works with community partners to bring more creative opportunities to youth in Los Angeles. In her free time, Tiffany examines film and TV as a historical record, ice cream is her meal of choice, and every once in a while she relives her hoop dreams in the gym.
